<p>Organization is an overlooked key to online success. Perhaps this is because organization is not a particularly glamorous topic. Yet it can be critical for an internet marketer.</p><p>Good organization will save you time and money. When your files, data and procedures are organized, you know exactly where to find the information you need when you need it. This can be anything from a retrieving a password to executing a particular procedure.</p><p>Think of your files and procedures as tools. Just as a carpenter keeps his tools sharp and organized, so can you.</p><p>Many internet marketers are highly entrepreneurial types who do not want to be constrained by rigid structure. Yet, time wasted searching for a password or trying to remember how to use an application to perform a certain function adds up very quickly.</p><p>My recent lesson in the School of Hard Knocks illustrates the benefits of good organization. Recently, my computer experienced a software conflict that required a clean reinstall of my operating system.</p><p>In a clean reinstall, everything is purged: files, data, installed applications... Having a recent back up of your hard drive or paying the computer tech to back up your files will save your data, but you will still need your installation discs and serial numbers to reinstall your applications.</p><p>Do you maintain a current record of serial numbers to your computer applications? Can you get your hands on the installation disc of your operating system and your programs?</p><p>For many people, especially home users, these items are easily misplaced. And that means you spend time searching for them. In some extreme cases, you may even have to pay a second time for access to items if you cannot prove your ownership.</p><p>Most importantly, keeping your tools organized will save you time. Time you can better use to develop a product or market an existing one. And that is how good organization can be the foundation of your online success.</p><p>An organized approach is the basis of online success.
